Thelema Mountain Vineyards is a family owned and managed wine estate at the top of the Helshoogte Pass in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Thelema produces from two different terroirs in the Cape Winelands – Stellenbosch (Thelema) and Elgin Valley (Sutherland). The tasting at Chaplin’s Grill will be from Thelema vineyards recently rated one of the world’s top 100 estates.

Thelema Méthode Cap Classique 2013

New Release

Bottle fermented and left on the lees for 32 months. The wine shows lovely citrus, floral and yeasty aromas with a fresh acidity and lively bubbles. Drinking well now, but will develop well over the next few years. This wine is perfect for any celebration and will be served as a welcome drink

Thelema Riesling 2014

Made in off dry style, showing fragrant spice on the nose, and flavours of yellow fruit and lime on the palate. The wine shows a delicate balance of sweetness and acidity. Enjoyable now but will develop well over the next 10 more years. Served with Pork Dumplings in a light Broth

Thelema Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

New Release

Complex and stylish, with aromas of ripe blackcurrant, dark chocolate and pencil shavings. This wine is bone dry, yet exhibits a lovely sweet fruit character on the palate, with a lovely long finish. Drinking well now and will develop during the next 8 years. Complements the Rib Eye with Chaplin’s Creamy Garlic Potatoes served on the pairing evening.

Thelema Semillon Late Harvest (375ml) 2013

A light golden dessert wine with very typical Semillon characters of honey blossom, citrus and crème brulee on the nose. The wine is lush and viscous, with flavours of apricots, honey and sweet citrus on the palate .With correct cellaring this late harvest will age exceptionally well. Enjoy with Orange Crème Brulee.
